The auction was very entertaining, though. One lady bought 4 of the horses, and one man bought 3. It was crazy! I think that next time I go to Breyerfest that I'm going to save up and buy a test run, and not much else. Or a glossy prize model. I'm planning on showing next time, now that I have a lot of mint horses that are gorgeous. :D
Anywho, here are the pictures, descriptions, and prices, of each horse.
Lot 1
Mold: Missouri Fox Trotter
Color: Dappled Palomino with teal and purple ribbons
Sold For: $500
Other: I really liked this guy. I'm not really a fan of the mold, but I liked him. I'm surprised he only went for $500.
Lot 2 - "DEVIL'S FOOD"
Mold: Bluegrass Bandit
Color: Glossy Dappled Black, Bald Face.
Sold For: $900
Other: I love BGB, and this color looks FANTASTIC on him. Great, another grail. ::)
Lot 3
Mold: Oldenburg Stallion
Color: Star dappled
Sold For: $900
Other: This guy has an amazing paint job. The star dappling is to die for, and his chestnut mane and tail make him look that much more drooliscious. Anyone know who painted him? If you know, let me know!
Lot 4
Mold: Big Ben
Color: Color changing filigree (mainly orange)
Sold For: $700
Other: I really love this guy's color...since orange is my favorite color! Hehe. I've been a big fan of color changing paint since I got my Mirror Image.
Lot 5
Mold: Ruffian
Color: Palomino Overo Paint
Sold For: $1200
Other: I love her! She's got awesome mapping. I just wish that she wasn't quite so orangey.
Lot 6
Mold: Old Timer
Color: Bay Tobiano with Party Hat
Sold For: $1000
Other: This OT is soooo cute! I thought he'd go for more, though.
Lot 7
Mold: Susecion and Le Fire
Color: Dappled Grey Mare, Bay Foal
Sold for: $1700
Other: I love the set, but it isn't worth $1700 in my opinion. Especially because there was a SCRATCH on Susecion's barrel! If you enlarge my picture you can see it, right behind her withers. **Tsk Tsk**
Lot 8 - "GERMAN CHOCOLATE"
Mold: Flash
Color: Bay blanket Appaloosa
Sold For: $900
Other: I didn't really like this guy, as much as I love appies. His pattern was just to jagged and unrealistic for my taste (that's why I didn't bother getting a better pic of him...sorry!)
Lot 9
Mold: Make A Wish
Color: Frosted Dapple Grey
Sold For: $1400
Other: The FIRST Test run of this mold! I love her, but I don't like her new 'do.
Lot 10
Mold: Lady Phase
Color: Lavender Jade
Sold for: $750
Other: I LOVE this deco! Reminds me of Cai Lun and that green running stallion...Jade Horse of the year was his name, I think. Really cool. I'm suprised she sold for so little. Yet another grail. Hehe.
Lot 11
Mold: Proud Arabian Mare
Color: Glossy Dappled Palomino
Sold For: $1000
Other: I absolutely love this horse. The palomino is really flashy, and it looks super fantabulous on this horse.
Lot 12
Mold: Rejoice
Color: Champagne tobiano pinto
Sold for: $750
Other: I don't really like her coloring...it's kind of bleh. I normally love champagnes, but making her champagne makes her dull and grey looking in my opinion. And she looks too much like that other NSH...I forgot her name.
Lot 13
Mold: Othello
Color: Glossy Dappled Sorrel
Sold For: $2,000
Other: One of my absolute favorites. I would kill to have this guy (just a figure of speech, don't worry). Kudos to his painter!!!
Lot 14 - "RED VELVET"
Mold: Moody Andalusian
Color: Apricot Dun Tobiano Pinto
Sold for: $1200
Other: I'm surprised he didn't go for more. But it's probably because he isn't OOAK. I LOVE him. The color looks stunning on that mold. :D
Lot 15 - "STORMY WEATHER"
Mold: Semi-Rearing Mustang
Color: Grey decorator with burgundy umbrellas
Sold For: $700
Other: It's ironic, because there was stormy weather that day! I think that the concept and how it turned out is very cool and unusual.
